Gerald L. Anderson, DBA

Owner/Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Gerald Anderson has varied work experiences in the private sector that ranged from work as a Commercial Lines Underwriter with the Kemper Insurance Companies to a position as an Assistant Administrator at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and an Assistant Vice President at a hospital owned by Adventist Health Systems.  His experience included teaching assignments as an adjunct instructor at Columbia Union College, and service as the Interim Senior Vice President for Operations at Washington Adventist University for 8 months.

 

His career in the Federal Government also included: the Health Care Financing Administration (HFCA), (now the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR), (now the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality), the Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

His military service included 8 years of active duty in the U.S. Army, and 16 years in the Medical Service Corps of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after multiple, diverse worldwide assignments.

​

He earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University. Additionally, he earned a Master of General Administration (MGA) - Health Care Management/Organizational Assessment,  a Bachelor of Science - Information Management Systems, and a Bachelor of Arts - Business Management/Behavioral Sciences, all from the University of Maryland/Global Campus.

 

Dr. Anderson is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). He also holds the credentials of: Certified Professional in Healthcare information and Management Systems(CPHIMS) conferred by The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Project Management Professional(PMP) conferred by the Project Management Institute (PMI), in addition to Primary Care Medical Home Certified Content Expert (PCHM CCE) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

ABOUT US

Ruby O. Anderson DNP, RN, NEA-BC

Co-Owner/Chief Operating Officer

 

Dr. Ruby Anderson is a healthcare administrator and Registered Nurse for over thirty-five years.  Her last full-time position was as the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Prince George’s Hospital Center, Cheverly, MD, a position which she held for 7 years and was responsible for more than 1,000 employees.

​

She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Walden University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Catholic University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Washington Adventist University (formally Columbia Union College).

 

She is board certified as Nursing Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) and champions the creation and implementation of ideal structures  and organizational culture, resulting in performance excellence. In 2017, she added Patient-Centered Medical Home Certified Content Expert (PCMH CCE) to her portfolio of credentials.

 

A life-time proponent of Health and Wellness, she retired after 20 years of service in the United States Navy Reserve Nurse Corps, at the rank of Captain. In that capacity, among other numerous assignments, she served as the Officer-in-Charge for a Medical Detachment, supervising the activities of Physicians, Dentists, Nurses and medical technicians who provided the regular medical care for the Naval Operations Support Center to which they are assigned.  Other assignments included responsibilities as the Health and Wellness Program Director for sailors and Marines attached to a Naval Operations Support Center.
